Bell Debate began in 2017 to create an opportunity for students to engage in an exciting and challenging new opportunity at Bell School. The team is open to 6-8th graders in all departments. Students will be excited and willing to put in the work necessary to be successful at policy debate. We join schools from every corner of Chicago to examine in depth an important issue involving our society.

This year's topic is Education Reform and next year's topic is Immigration Reform. Benefits of being on the Debate Team include: learning how to tackle an important social issue, learn about the rules and skills of debate, meet and connect with kids from across the City and develop skills for use in life, the classroom and future debating in high school and college.
