SC2 - Fine Arts Program & Family Night

The Fine Arts Committee (FAC) is composed of parents and faculty devoted to promoting general arts and bringing professional artists to our school.  They strive to expose our students to the talents of extraordinary musicians, actors, dancers, painters, and other fine artists and to support existing arts programming and residencies at Bell.

Annual programs include the Family Literacy Night at Open House, the Family Fine Arts Night, and interactive performances & programs for students.

In previous years, the Fine Arts committee has brought many exceptional arts experiences to Bell students, including concerts by world famous Indian musician Kalyan Pathak, renowned musicians Justin and Liam, the acclaimed a cappella ensemble AcRock, and Yale University’s all-female answer to a capella, Proof of Pudding.  Students have also enjoyed numerous theatrical performances such as the  thrilling one–woman play, The Life of Harriet Tubman by Canadian actress and playwright Leslie McCurdy, The Writers’ Theatre’s civil rights play, The MLK Project, a lively introduction to the art of storytelling by professional storyteller Jeremy Schaefer, a hilarious take on U.S. history from the Hasty Pudding Puppet Company, and a highly entertaining abridged version of The Barber of Seville performed by members of the Lyric Opera.

Your contribution to the Fine Arts Committee will ensure that our children continue to be inspired, enlightened and enriched by the arts as part of their education at Bell.
